Welcoming Imam of Cary Masjid

Islamic Association of Cary is pleased to announce that Hafidh Khalid Shwayki has joined Cary Masjid as Imam.

Imam Khaled Shwayki has lived in the Triangle Area for more than two decades, he is well-known in the Muslim Community. For last seven years, he has been leading congregational prayers including Taraweeh and Jumm'ua prayers at Cary Masjid. In addition, he has regularly helped at other area Masajid, including leading Friday Prayers regularly at the Islamic Centers in Greenville and Rocky Mount. He has also lead projects and teams with key involvement in the New Cary Masjid's construction.

We welcome Imam Khaled Shwayki, and we pray that Allah(SWT) protects him and his family, stengthens his Hifdh and Knowledge, and makes this new role a blessed move for him and for all of us in the Triangle Muslim Commmunity, Aameen! 

Welcoming Sheikh Ahmed Hassan

Islamic Association of Cary is pleased to welcome Sheikh Ahmed Hassan Muhammad, who has joined as Quran Teacher to lead the Hifth/memorization & Ijaza Program, innShaAllah.

Sheikh Hassan is conducting Online Classes in addition to our Senior Quran teacher Sister Bushra and a group of Adult Huffadh (who have been teaching at IQRA Sunday School for last several years)

Sheikh has started Ijazah-Prep classes on weekdays with the Huffadh youth, alhamdulillah, and is also teaching Tuhfa' for Tajweed.

Remembrance of ALLAH (SWT) - ذکرِ الٰہی

Islamic Association of Cary is pleased to announce resumption of group-sessions for Remembering Allah(SWT) - Dhikr ذکر .
 
Dhikr The group session will be lead by our youth leaders  .. every Thursday, after Maghrib prayers .. starting today, July 09, innShaAllah.
 
Please review - and comply with - the Masjid's Policy to help with efforts to prevent spread of COVID-19. 

Masjid Is Open (With Conditions)

Islamic Association of Cary (Cary Masjid) is OPEN for all daily prayers and Jummu'a (Friday) congregational prayers.
 

Please abide by the MASJID POLICY, which will be enforced for the safety of everyone, as follows:

Prayer services are offered to adult MEN only (no children) because of space limitations and to ensure social distancing.

MUST wear face mask (no exceptions) and please stay at 6 feet distance from others.

MUST bring your own prayer-rug (keep your rug with you at all times, and kindly do not pray on anyone else's rug).

Please make Wudu at home (there is no way to maintain CDC-recommended social distancing with facility-use at the Masjid).

Kindly pray at home if you do not feel well; or have underlying health conditions; or, if any of the following conditions are met:

  • If you have been in close contact (less than 6′ for more than 10 minutes) with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

  • If you have had a fever (temperature of 100.4 and above) within the last 72 hours.

  • If you have developed a recurring cough or shortness of breath (not related to allergies) within the last two weeks.

  • If you have traveled outside of NC in the past 14 days.

We have Clorox Wipes at visible locations. Please feel free to use those as you feel appropriate to maintain good sanitary conditions.
